Welcome - Customer's Four Poster Beds
We have a selection of images below showing four poster beds we have made for previous customers. Some are from our standard range of beds, and others have been developed, from scratch, to suit their exact needs. If you like the look of any of the designs shown below then please just send through an inquiry form to find out more.
This imposing hand carved oak canopy bed is a variation on our Richard IV Four Poster Bed. The headboard, footboard, posts, cornice, posts and side rails were all hand carved. The bed was then polished in a deep chocolate stain.
A tall and elegant Open Canopy Bed, with four twisted posts and a ball-style finial. The curved shaped headboard and dowel-style canopy rails were the perfect finishing touch. The rich dark stain combined with the clean white bed linen gives both a traditional and contemporary feel, which worked really well with the surroundings.
A simple, but imposing, contemporary style four poster bed with chunky square ash posts and a slatted headboard. This bed was finished using a white pigment wash, before being finished with a waxy lacquer.
The Contemporary Tapered Four Poster Bed gave that special finishing touch to this hotel suite. The simple fabric canopy worked particularly well, though many of our customers opt to keep the canopy open.
This bespoke bed is known as the Bobbin Pencil Post Bed. It was finished in a pigment wash lacquer, matching to a Farrow and Ball shade, which allowed just a hint of the ash grain to show through.
This white painted contemporary four poster bed was one of a pair made especially for a high-end hotel in the New Forest. The simple tapered posts combined beautifully with the deep shaped headboard and carved finials.
The drapery is the perfect finishing touch to this bespoke Half Tester Bed. The deep upholstered headboard, and barley twist front posts give a very luxurious feel to this oak bed frame.
The hand carved linenfold panels combine perfectly with the fluted posts and carved finials on this oak bed frame. This bed was itself inspired by a bespoke low bed, developed for another customer, which can be seen lower down on this page. The customer opted for a pair of matching bedside cabinets, with a linenfold door panel.
This was the very first Greenwood Open Canopy Bed, developed with an interior designer. It was made in mahogany, which remains the most popular timber choice for this bed style. Here you can see how drapery was incorporated into the design, with simple dress curtains, a valance and sunburst roof canopy.
This started life as a Juniper Open Canopy Bed, with its single headboard panel and turned front posts, but the additional of the carved balusters and reeded uprights combined with increased height resulted in a much more Georgian feel. The plinth style foot balanced out the design perfectly.
A slight variation on our standard Juniper Open Canopy Bed because, as you can see, it has a fully panelled roof. The headboard was also positioned lower down on the bed to ensure that the light could continue to shine in from the window above.
Our ever popular Lyons Hall Canopy Bed, with a fully panelled headboard and roof. This bed was finished with a single beaded detail on the panels, which was also then followed through to the matching bedside cabinets either side.
One of three beds that made their way to a gorgeous Country House Hotel and Spa in Anglesey (Of course, the headboards still need upholstering by their dedicated team at the hotel). See them if you stay at Treysgawen Hall
Adapting our Tapered Four Poster Bed has created something unique- with apple core detailing on the posts and an almost art deco vibe.
Developed with the customers, this Low Bed is in no danger of being overlooked- it has great impact in a bedroom. Perfect if you want something a little special but the thought of a four poster leaves you breathless!
This Twisted Pencil Post bed resides in Hong Kong, and was made with slightly 'wetter' wood to accomodate the humid weather.
This Tudor Four Poster Bed has a mattress size of 84" x 84" and is 84" high.
Please note the Carolean panelled blanket box at the foot of the bed.
